Well Christa left thursday afternoon to fly home... and i was ridiculously jealous! I wanted to so badly go home and witness the baptism of Brianna and Lorraine. 2 out of the 4 other girls that I started repenting with last January. Not to mention knowing that she got to go home and i was still here... was rough. made me more homesick than ever before. But thank goodness for good friends and other plans to keep me occupied! Thursday night i went up to sioux falls and stayed at Kylas house. Friday morning i woke up at a rather late hour... :) to an empty house! all of the girls( Bekah, Kyla, Whitney, Amanda) had left for work. So i had the luxury of taking my dear sweet time getting rdy for the day. There is nothing better than taking all the time in the world to get ready for the day, it is absolutely relaxing and wonderful:)
Thank God for the invention of the GPS. With a few button clicks i was on my way to down town sioux falls in search of a Target! I missed that place so badly! And ahh what a glorious sight it was when i finally found one:) :) Since i had the entire day pretty much reserved for myself I dwaddled around the various stores that were nearby such as Kohls, JCPenny, TJ Max. My ultimate gooal was to find a Goodwill. But sadly enough my dear Garmin had me "arriving at (my) destination" with no destination at all. 2 times it led me astray!:( You can only imagine how sad i was, I seriously LOVE Goodwills and thrift shops, they make me super giddy and excited at the possibility of finding a sweet treasure! :)
Later that afternoon after meeting up with Bekah and shopping till we nearly dropped ( no joke), I drove down to Lannas for pizza and then to sing in a grain bin with Whitney, Lanna, Lucy Wulf, Sam Meyer, Jacob Meyer, Tyler Metzger, and Eric Wulf, as the boys were wanting to test out the sound quality for the next night when all of the brothers would get together to sing in it. Singing in a grain bin is seriously beautiful! Its like singing in the dome of the State Capitol in Oregon. For any of you who have done, or listened to it you sort of have an idea of what im talking about.
That night Lucy, Lanna and I stayed up till 4:30 talking about everything under the sun:) So that next morning you can only guess how early we woke up... not very! By noon we were finally ready for our day and eating brunch:) After brunch we went over to Merf and Marilyn Meyers house to set up for YG that evening. Lester was hosting an Invite-a-friend btw. I was Lannas "ONLY" friend ( i kept giving her a hard time about this the entire weekend, I wasnt her "only" friend i WAS her friend hahah). Lucy had a cousin that she wanted to go see... and i am SO glad that we went to visit her becausssseee.... i scored some sweet windows! Yes... windows. Dont judge. Its called being a pinterest addict and getting way too many decorating ideas. But hey if i dont use them here in my little abode ill for sure use them when i get home! Literally scoring these windows made.my.day!! i was on cloud 9 for pretty much the remainder of the day:) Its a rare find now days since most pinterest crafty women have cleaned up all the old barns and taken all of the treasures inside.
So this is now saturday incase you have lost track. And Saturday night at Murf and Marilyns the night started off with dinner, and being seated by the age you were when you started repenting. Carla Knobloch sat across from me and oh.my.word. i was splitting a gut the entire night! If you are ever having a downer day, just talk to Carla and in a matter of minutes you will be laughing uncontrollably:D seriously love that woman! After supper we all went outside and sat around a HUGE bon fire on hay bales until the shed was re arranged for the singing. It was a pretty big group, and tons of girls so I had plenty of girls to meet and chat with, so pretty much it was a swell night:)
If there has been anyone thus far who has been extremely hospitable to me its definitely been Dean and Linda Meyer. This would be Lannas parents. I am so so thankful for their kindness and open arms. They have been nothing but kind, warm and welcoming to me. Pretty much every weekend ive been in Lester i have stayed there and each time I have felt right at home. God has truly blessed me and I pray that he continues to bless them for their christian hospitality.

Backing up to wednesday night of last week.... Christa and I on a whim decided to become Parents! with open arms and $7.22 later we welcomed Kelly and Crile into our home where they were perched atop the fridge as that is the only available and fish safe place in our whole pad. We were so excited! And then....Christa left for Oregon... and I left for Lester...and after 3 days...when i came home.... the fish bowl was murky, slimey and...*GASP* our poor little Kelly was belly up!! :( So down the toilet she went... Crile on the other hand bless his little mighty self was a trooper and was still swimmin around. So Christa and I are now parents to sadly..just one fish now.
On a random note... this past wknd i bought a vacuum! I know what your thinking... "a Vacuum? How Boring..." WRONG! How exciting! You see.... we have been living here for a month and a half and this place has...wait for it.... NEVER been vacuumed. Gross. I know. So with the directions in one hand and a screw driver in the other hand i successfully and quite proudly put together a vacuum by myself for the first time ever. Yay me!:D
In conclusion.... Tuesday night sadly i recieved a text from my Mom with the news that Grandpa Teubel had won the victory and went to be with Jesus. As i sit here in Spencer Iowa i cant help but feel completely helpless, im so close...and yet so far away as Fairbury is about 8 hrs away...
So tomorrow after school im heading out on the road to Lord willing reach Oakville by night fall and then continue on to Illinois friday evening. Im super excited to see my mom and dad:):):):) But its so bitter sweet at the loss of Grandpa. When i get home i will definitely miss hearing the caller ID say "Call from, Ill Valley Cell" and knowing that Grandpa was calling. Im so thankful however for the faith in knowing that Grandpa had lived a full life and a life for Christ and he is now reunited with Grandma after nearly 20 years! Its from him that I received the social and talkative gene that makes me who I am. No explanation necessary.
Prayers would be greatly appreciated as i make this drive alone tomorrow.... im super scared to be honest...
With the passing of my dear Grandpa Id like to leave you with this through provoking quote i found on Pinterest..one that we can all apply to our lives
